To remove the wiper arm, ensure the wipers are in the Park position. Then, prise the plastic cover and remove the wiper arm retaining nut. Carefully prise the wiper arm from the wiper pivot shaft without damaging the vehicle. It may be necessary to lift the arm from the windscreen and rock it back and forth with the nut loose to separate the components, avoiding leverage from the windscreen. Installation is the reverse of this process, ensuring that with the wiper motor in the Park position, the wiper blades are parallel to the windscreen weather strip and approximately 20 mm above it, and that the blades do not contact the windscreen surround when operated.
