In case of Air Filter removal for an engine other than 2.0L Turbocharged Engine, disconnect the negative battery cable and release the retaining clips from the Air Filter housing. Release the clamp on the air outlet tube at the throttle body, pull the breather hose from the air inlet tube and unclip the MAF sensor connector. Remove the air outlet tube and upper Air Filter from the lower Air Filter housing. Remove the Air Filter. To install the Air Filter, first clean the inside of the Air Filter housing, then insert a new Air Filter into the lower housing making sure the seal is seated in the right place. After that, install the upper Air Filter housing and inlet tube onto the lower housing, tightening the clamp at the throttle body. You can reattach the breather hose and connect the MAF sensor electrical connector. Also, clip the Air Filter housing in place before reconnecting the negative battery cable. It is necessary to always begin with disconnecting the negative battery cable. Further, lapse off the air flow sensor connector, unfasten the boost hose, disconnect the solenoid valve with hoses, and unplug the air intake hose for the 2.0L Turbocharged Engine. Remove the two bolts that attach the Air Filter retainer. Then, remove the Air Filter assembly. Be careful of the air flow sensor while removing the cover. Take off the Air Filter and clean the housing thoroughly. After that, fit a new Air Filter and cover the Air Filter with the retainer bolts. To complete the process you only have to connect the air intake hose, connect the solenoid valve, connect the boost hose, connect the air flow sensor connector and connect the negative battery cable.
