After that, remove the two rocker shaft assemblies as an assembly. Lubricate the rocker shaft, fit the assemblies and tighten the bolts. For the 2.4L engine, disconnect different hoses and cables, remove the rocker cover and disassemble the rocker shaft parts. Overwhelm the lash adjusters with diesel, lubricate the rocker shaft and finally install the rocker arms To begin, the valve cover must be removed and the rocker arm assembly loosened. Immerse lash adjusters in diesel fuel, lubricate components and assemble the assembly. To access the 3.0L DOHC engine, alleviate the pressure in the fuel system, disconnect the battery and remove the timing belt cover.
