In order to install the blower motor resistor, begin by taking out the glove box and lower trim panel in the passenger compartment. Then remove the electrical connector that attaches to the blower motor resistor, screws that mount it, and the resistor in the joint duct in 1994-1998 air conditioning-free models and the resistor in the evaporator housing in 1994-1998 air conditioning models. In the case of the blower motor also start by removing the glove box and lower trim panel. In air-conditioned models with 1994-1998 model years, remove the changeover damper module in the housing of the blower motor and disconnect the electrical connector of the blower motor. Once this is finished, remove the mounting screws and the blower motor. Both components are reinstalled in the same order that they were removed.
