  Q: How to remove and install the windscreen wiper blade, wiper arm, wiper motor, and wiper linkage on Mitsubishi Lancer?

The installation is the reverse of this process, ensuring the linkage is secure to the wiper motor arm; if you are not sure of the park position on installation it is best to remove the wiper arms, to prevent damage when the motor is first used, followed by ensuring the retaining bolts are safely tight and the wiring connector is secure. To remove and install the wiper linkage, first remove the wiper arms and motor, before raising the bonnet and prising the clips retaining the plenum cover, releasing the clips and withdrawing the cover. Remove the pivot shaft retaining nuts from the two sides of the vehicle and manoeuvre the wiper linkage from the vehicle. Installation is the same as the removal but ensure the pivot shaft retaining nuts are tightened before installing the wiper motor and the wiper motor wiring is securely connected.
