Slacken the cable adjustment wheel at the firewall in the engine compartment and the pedal stop bolt to allow sufficient movement to unlatch it to the clutch pedal. Lift the car and place it on jackstands. Detach the return spring of the clutch lever. To remove the cable connected to the clutch lever, first take out the cotter pin, and then cut the cable, and then pull it through the bracket forward, taking out any clips that hold it, and out of the car. Removal is the opposite of installation, making sure that the cable is not bound by kinks. Once installed, change the freeplay.
