  • Q: How to remove and install the Crankshaft Seal and related components on 1985 Mitsubishi Cordia?
    A: Eliminate transaxle/transmission, clutch, flywheel/driveplate, adapter plate, bell housing cover and rear plate. Drain oil (where necessary), disassemble oil pan gasket, oil seal case and old Crankshaft Seal. Check crankshaft sealing surface; re-replace grooved. Apply lubricant and press new seal flat, fit retainer, gasket and seal case, refit oil pan, refit retorque bolts, refill oil and reassemble.
