    A: Disconnect negative battery. Loose retaining screws/clips and loosen distributor cap-label and disconnect spark plug wires except when testing. Take note of rotor position, remove it off the shaft and refit in reversal. Clean cap and rotor using soap/water, dry, check cracks, carbon tracks, corrosion, burned terminals, or damaged rotor blade/spring; replace where necessary.
