  • Q: How to remove and install the rear Axle Shaft (halfshaft) and Differential Seal on 1992 Mitsubishi Diamante?
    A: Detach negative battery cable and elevate car. Take away flange bolts and pry rear halfshaft out of differential, taking care not to destroy seals; take out driveshaft and, as necessary, pry out oil seal. Replace circlip, install new seal with driver, snap in driveshaft, torque bolts to 40 -47 ft lb (55-65 Nm) and check differential fluid.
