Windshield Wiper, Wiper Blade Installation and Repair Tips for 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante

  • Q: How to remove and install the Wiper Arm and Wiper Blade on 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante?
A: Dislodge the negative battery cable. Install wiper arms (also rear on Diamante Wagon/Mirage Hatchbacks) by installing caps, unscrewing cap nuts and taking arms off linkage posts. Install arm and blade fittings, screw retaining nuts to 7-12 ft.lb (10-16 Nm). P/As, D/Dr, driver arm. Park blades 1 inch out of garnish moulding. Re-connect battery and test.
  • Q: What steps should be taken if the windshield wipers do not operate properly on 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante?
A: Check fuses, switch, wiring, and ground if wipers not working; repair or replace as necessary. When motor hums, overheats or blows fuses, replace it, linkage can be bent or seized. When the motor is running but the wipers are not moving, fix linkage or pivots. Wipers will not park: change switch or motor. Turn on motor and check arm/blade clearance.
