  • Q: How to remove the transaxle to replace the Clutch Release Bearing and access the Clutch Fork on 1999 Mitsubishi Galant?
    A: When replacing clutch components, replace the release bearing. Disconnect negative battery, take out transaxle. Unclip the spring and push the Clutch Fork off the ballstud (no pry) using the lever perpendicular to the input shaft and slide off the bearing. Turn the inner race--change when coarse. Clean (no solvent), check Clutch Fork and pivot, grease, and replace.
