Take off cotter pin, hub lock and spring washer; loosen hub nut (wedge prybar). Optionally drain transaxle. Separable balljoint/lower arm, tap/pull Axle Shaft off hub, check seals. Eliminate inner joint or intermediate shaft per model, prevent overextension. Re-fit reverse, grease splines, torque, install new cotter.
