    To remove the wiper blade assembly, lift it away from the windshield, press the release lever, and slide the blade assembly out of the hook at the end of the wiper arm, carefully resting the wiper arm on the windshield.

    What is the process for renewing the wiper blade rubber for the 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer? Posted by Customer

    First, remove the wiper blade. Then, use pliers to grasp the lower end of the rubber and pull the rubber tabs free from the metal blade claws until completely removed. Next, noting the direction of the bow of the metal rails, remove the metal rails from the old rubber and discard it. Insert the metal rails into the side slots of the new rubber, ensuring the bow faces away from the center. Then, insert the rubber into the blade claws, making sure the metal rails remain engaged and the tabs face the lower end of the wiper blade. Finally, position the small slots of the end of the rubber blade between the metal claws of the wiper blade and install the wiper blade to the wiper arm.
