Mitsubishi Clutch Fork

Mitsubishi Clutch Fork provides precise gear changes by being the powerful and lightweight lever that conveys the force of the pedals to the release bearing so that the pressure plate can disengage or engage the clutch disc in real time. Mitsubishi has a reputation for creating vehicles that are both strong in engineering and convenient in everyday use, beginning with its first Model A to its current smart MIVEC powered cars and plug-in hybrids which stretch every drop of gasoline. Super All Wheel Control is combined with the intuitive cruise control and smartphone connection to provide drivers with the confidence of safe handling and comfort on city streets or snowy roads. Since its origins in shipping to forward-looking experiments of fuel cell drivetrains, Mitsubishi continues to perfect simple controls and reliable hardware that earns trust mile after mile. This combination of innovation and durability is important to drivers as it makes their everyday commutes and weekend outings comfortable trips. The Clutch Fork is mounted in the bell housing where it pivots on a strong fulcrum and is either driven by a hydraulic slave cylinder or by a tension cable to drive the release bearing forward. The geometry of each Clutch Fork should be maintained to ensure the energy moves without chatter or grinding between gears and still maintains a consistent pedal feel that can be enjoyed by teenagers learning stick. The forged or stamped steel body withstands fatigue, maintains pivot points, and maintains the release bearing during millions of shifts, making the transmission remain responsive and quiet over the years.

Pick genuine OEM Clutch Fork if you want superb performance and durability that lasts. Mitsubishi builds that using high-grade materials and official factory techniques to meet very strict standards. This means you get parts you can actually trust for your daily drive. Finding the right parts is simple in the massive stock of genuine inventory. You can stop guessing if a part will fit or hold up. You will love the low prices, dependable service and the real manufacturer's warranty on Mitsubishi Clutch Fork. Mitsubishi Clutch Fork Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the transaxle to replace the Clutch Release Bearing and access the Clutch Fork on Mitsubishi Galant?
    A:
For release bearing replacement, it is best to repeatedly change the release bearing along with the clutch components as the removal of the transaxle is not easy. Start by removing the cable from the battery's negative terminal. Remove the transaxle next. Arrange the lever and bearing such that the lever is perpendicular to the input shaft. Remove the bearing from the lever by pulling the ends of the spring clip out of the holes in the Clutch Fork. Push the Clutch Fork away from the input shaft, disengaging it from the ballstud. Avoid using a screwdriver or prybar, as this may damage the spring clip. Remove the release bearing off the input shaft. To inspect a bearing, hold it by the outer race. While you apply pressure to the outer race of the bearing, rotate the inner race. If it does not rotate smoothly or is noisy, you need to replace it. It does not matter if the bearing looks fine or not. Clean the bearing and inspect for any damage, wear, and cracks, avoiding any immersion in solvent, which is sealed for life. Furthermore, check the Clutch Fork and fork for cracks or bends. Ensure the pivot ballstud and stud pocket in the release fork are clean. To install the Clutch Fork, apply a thin layer of high-temperature grease on the ends of the Clutch Fork, the inner diameter of the release bearing, and the input shaft. Replace the Clutch Fork and bearing on the transaxle.
