  Q: How to remove and install the front instrument panel-mounted car speakers, door-mounted tweeters, door speakers, and rear deck speakers on Mitsubishi Diamante?

  The front instrument panel mounted speaker can be removed and installed by first disconnecting the negative battery cable, disattaching the speaker garnish, the harness connector and removing the front speaker, and installation is the opposite of the removing. In the case of door mounted tweeters, de-assemble the negative battery cable, unscrew the triangular delta cover at the back of the side mirror, unscrew the speaker retaining screws, remove the speaker out of the cavity, disconnect the electrical connection and unscrew the speaker, with corresponding steps being reversed during installation. In the case of door speakers, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the door trim panel, remove the mounting screws, remove the harness connector and the front speaker with installation in the opposite order. To install rear deck speakers, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the speaker cover, then remove the screws that hold the speaker in place, lift the speaker out of the cavity, unscrew the electrical connection, and install the speaker and the electrical connection is the same way as when removing them.
