To remove and install wiper arms (including rear wiper arms, if applicable, on Diamante Wagon and Mirage Hatchs), start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. After that, Take off the cap, unscrew the cap nuts, and lift the arms from the linkage posts to remove the windshield wiper arms. Installation involves fastening the wiper blade and arm assemblies and tightening the retaining nuts to 7 to 12 ft. lbs. (10-16 Nut meters) The arm which fits on the driver's side should bear a D or Dr mark whereas the A or As mark is for the passenger's side (the mark is stencilled at the base of the arm near where it pivots). The arms should be installed so that the blades are parked 1 inch from the garnish molding. Reconnect the negative cable on the battery, and make sure the wiper system works.
