Mitsubishi Exhaust Valve

Mitsubishi Exhaust Valve helps quickly remove exhaust gases out of the combustion chamber, allowing fresh mixture to flow in to allow the engine to breathe freely and maintain power delivery sharp. Since its debut in the early 1917 sedan, Mitsubishi has expanded into a worldwide range of vehicles with MIVEC variable timing, Super All Wheel Control to ensure a sure grip, and the easy cruise and smartphone connectivity that makes driving everyday a breeze of fun. The company is testing with fuel cell and new safety sensors, striving to make technology that feels useful not complicated and has deep experience in shipping and heavy industry, which it applies to every vehicle it sells. Drivers are glad that every model strikes a balance between intelligent features and tough building, thus weekend escapades and weekday commutes feel comfortable. The Exhaust Valve is an orchestrated gateway inside the powertrain and operated by a cam lobe and then by a powerful spring to close the cylinder, develop compression, and prevent unhealthy backflow. Regardless of whether the engine has overhead cam followers or a pushrod rocker design, the timing precision of the Exhaust Valve gives the engine a smooth idle, sharp throttle reaction and ensures that the pistons do not collide when at higher rpm. Tight lash prevents extreme impacts, heat resistant alloys and consistent spring tension prevent distortion, misfire and valve float, and provide a consistently long life span throughout the entire Mitsubishi line.

Pick genuine OEM Exhaust Valve if you want superb performance and durability that lasts. Mitsubishi builds that using high-grade materials and official factory techniques to meet very strict standards. This means you get parts you can actually trust for your daily drive. Finding the right parts is simple in the massive stock of genuine inventory. You can stop guessing if a part will fit or hold up. You will love the low prices, dependable service and the real manufacturer's warranty on Mitsubishi Exhaust Valve. Order today and the store will ship your brand-new items to your door as fast as possible.

Mitsubishi Exhaust Valve Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: What are the steps required to adjust the Exhaust Valve and Intake Valve clearances on the 1.5L and 1.8L engines on Mitsubishi Diamante?
    A:
Only the 1990-95 Mirage's 1.5L engine and the 1993-95 Mirage's 1.8L engine have valves that require periodic adjustment. First thing is to warm up the engine to operating temperature, then shut it off and remove negative battery cable. All spark plugs will be removed so the engine can be turned manually before the valve cover is removed. Using a crank handle, rotate the crankshaft in a clockwise direction until the timing belt pulley notches are aligned with the T mark on the lower cover which will bring both cylinder number 1 and 4 pistons to their top dead center (TDC). Move the rocker arms on No. 1 and 4 cylinders to determine which cylinder is at TDC on compression stroke; if the piston in that cylinder is at TDC on compression stroke, both rocker arms will move. Using a feeler gauge, measure valve clearance of No. 1 intake and exhaust and No. 2 intake and exhaust with No. 1 piston at TDC on compression stroke. Subsequently, to bring the No. 4 to TDC on its compression stroke, turn the crankshaft clockwise one complete revolution and check No. 2 exhaust and intake and No. 4 intake and exhaust. The clearance specifications regarding the 1990-92 1.5L engine are as follows: the exhaust valve should be 0.0098 in. The intake valve is 0.059 inches. The exhaust valve should be adjusted to 0.0098 in. for the 1993-95 1.5L engine. The intake valve measures 0.008 inches while the exhaust valve measures 0.25 millimeter. For the 1993-95 1.8L engine 1993-95, the exhaust valve should be 0.012 in. 0.30 mm and the intake valve is 0.008 inches. (0.20mm). In case the valve clearance has gone out of specification, to adjust the valve clearance, loosen the rocker arm locknut and use a feeler gauge while turning the adjusting screw. When at specification, tighten the locknut while ensuring the screw is held solid to prevent turning. The locknut tightening torque is between 9 and 11 foot-pounds. (12-15 Nm) para al motor de 1.5L y 7 ft.lbs. (9 Nm) for the 1.8L engine. Check the clearance again and readjust if need be. Following the valve adjustments, reinstall the valve cover and spark plugs, then connect the negative battery cable.
  • Q: Is checking and adjusting Exhaust Valve and Intake Valve clearances necessary for noisy valves, or after cylinder head work on Mitsubishi Lancer?
    A:
Valve clearances should be checked and adjusted if the valves are noisy, the vehicle has a significant amount of mileage, or if cylinder head work has been performed, with adjustment recommended prior to idle speed check. In order to adjust the settings, the engine must be started and run until it is at normal operating temperature. Start the adjustment with a cold engine if cylinder head and rocker arm service occurred. It is a good idea to clean around the rocker cover to prevent dirt from entering the engine. Remove the retaining bolts and withdraw the cover, removing the spark plugs to rotate the engine more easily. Turn the crankshaft pulley in the clockwise direction until position No 1 is at TDC on its compression stroke position. Check that the timing mark on the timing belt cover is aligned with the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley. Observe the rotor button to ensure it points at the No 1 sector in the distributor cap. When looking at No 4 cylinder, it is best to search for the rocking position. This is when two of the valves are just closing and the other two are just opening. Utilize a feeler gauge with a thickness of 0.20mm to measure the clearance between the rocker arms and the valve stems of No 1 cylinder inlet valves. If an adjustment is necessary, loosen the lock nut on the adjusting screw of the rocker arm and turn the screw until the gap gauge goes in with slight drag. Thereafter, lock the nut and recheck the gap. For a 1.5 litre model, repeat this procedure using a 0.25 mm feeler gauge for No 1 exhaust, No 2 inlet and No 3 exhaust valves. For 1.8, 2.0 and 2.4 litre models use a 0.30 mm gauge. Clockwise, turn the crankshaft pulley until No 1 cylinder is on TDC and No 4 cylinder's valves are rocking after making one full turn, then check and adjust No 2 exhaust, No 3 inlet and No 4 inlet and exhaust valves as previously detailed. After cleaning the area where the rocker cover sits, check the seal. If it is hard and brittle or showing signs of oil leaking, replace the gasket. As a last step, you need to replace the rocker cover, plugs, and leads. You can now reconnect the P.C.V. valve and breather hose and connect the leads and coil packs as they were removed. Start the vehicle and look for leaks at the rocker cover. Fix them as required.
