How to replace the Fuel Pump and Fuel Level Sensor on Mitsubishi Galant?

To begin, relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank for 1994 through 1998 non-California models or the fuel pump/fuel level sending unit for California models and all 1999 and later models. For non-California models, the fuel pump and fuel level sending unit are separate, so disassembly is not necessary when replacing either.
