Employing a puller, disconnect the tie-rod end from the
Steering Knuckle arm. Subsequently, remove the nut from the ballstud, separate the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle, and unscrew the tie-rod end from the tie-rod. For installation thread tie-rod end onto tie-rod to marked position and connect it to steering arm, then install nut on ballstud and tighten it to specified torque and remember to install new cotter pin. If necessary, tighten the nut slightly more so that a cotter pin can be inserted. Do not loosen the nut to align. In conclusion, securely tighten the jam nut, put on the wheel, lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to specification, after which check and adjust the front end alignment, if necessary.
