The front seats and the left and right rear seats are equipped with lap/sash, inertia reel seat belts designed to lock with any sudden change in vehicle motion, and on CG and CH models, seat belt pretensioners are installed in the front two seatbelts, identifiable by a yellow wiring harness and connector going to the retractor mechanism; if there is no wiring connector, a pretensioner is not fitted. Caution is advised when removing seatbelts with pretensioners, as the negative battery terminal should be disconnected and a wait of at least one minute is necessary to disable the airbags and pretensioners before disconnecting the wiring from the seatbelt retractor mechanism, after which it is safe to remove the seatbelt retractor mechanism. The rear centre seat is equipped with a lap seat belt, and a special feature of the seat belts includes rip stitching at the floor anchorage point, which tears in the event of a collision to provide gradual deceleration of the occupant, exposing a red label indicating that the seat belt should be renewed. Periodic inspection of the seat belts is recommended, and child restraint anchorages are located on the parcel shelf behind the rear seats on sedan and coupe models, as well as behind the luggage compartment trim on hatchback models; these anchorages must be used for child seats or capsules and should not be used for adult seat belts or harnesses. Additionally, on models with a passenger airbag, it is crucial not to install any child restraint system on the front seat, as an inflating airbag could cause serious injury to the child in the event of a collision.
