- Q: How to remove and install rear Parking Brake Cable(s) and the handbrake lever on 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer?A: Disassemble rear Parking Brake Cables, raise seat cushions, remove centre console, unlock handbrake and adjustor, fold carpet and push cables/grommets up through floor, underbody, remove support brackets, disconnect lever, remove shoes/C-clip. Check cables, grommets and ratchet/pawl; remove in case of defect. Reverse steps to reinstall. To lever: take out console, unscrew lamp, unbolt, lubricate, attach and readjust.
