To remove and install the component, first lift the rear of the vehicle and support it on jackstands, then remove the rear wheel. Use quick drying paint to mark the position of the eccentric bolt and cam plate to preserve the rear toe-in setting for fitment. Using a socket and appropriate extension, hold the eccentric bolt in place to clear the nut; collect the nut-washer-plate assembly before removing the eccentric bolt. Next, unbolt the Lateral Link from the
Trailing Arm, and separate the Lateral Link from the vehicle. Check the Lateral Link bush for wear and deterioration. Check link for cracks and damage. Replace if necessary. Additionally, check the eccentric bolt and plate for wear and damage and replace if needed. The installation is the opposite of removal but ensure to install the Lateral Link to the trailing arm and tighten to specification. Put the eccentric bolt and the plate in position with the marks made during disassembly. Then place the nut and washer but do not tighten it. After putting in the rear tire, lower the car to the ground and bounce the rear vigorously up and down. In conclusion, tighten the eccentric bolt nut until the mark on the eccentric bolt and the mark plate are at the same position. Then, torque the eccentric bolt nut.
