How to remove and install a front Wheel Hub and Wheel Bearing assembly on Mitsubishi Galant?

Unscrew the lug nuts on the wheel, lift up the car, and rest it on jackstands and then take the wheel out. Then, take out the driveaxle/hub nut, and in case the vehicle has the ABS, remove the wheel speed sensor. Then take off the brake caliper and hold it up with a piece of wire, and then take off the caliper mounting bracket and release the brake disc and the hub. Unloading the lower balljoint(s) and steering knuckle, push the knuckle outwards and push the driveaxle out of the hub onto the hub mounting bolts, and hold the end of the driveaxle with a piece of wire. Unscrew the hub of the knuckle and take it out of the car. Removal of the brake disc shield of the knuckle may be necessary. Test the bearing of the hub to see whether it is worn out or damaged by rotating it with your fingers and examining it to see if it is rough, loose, or noisy; in case of any problem, change the entire assembly that is the hub bearing as it cannot be checked independently. To install, perform the opposite of the removal steps with the exception that the hub bolts and balljoint fasteners should be tightened to the recommended torque and the driveaxle/hub nut should be tightened to the recommended torque with a new cotter pin (where necessary) and the brake fasteners.

Install the cotter pin properly so that the unbent part remains as close to the hole as possible and the two ends are bent flat against the nut. Cut off any excess length. Once the grease cap has been tapped into place, reinstall the caliper. Next, reinstall the tire/wheel assembly and tighten its lug nuts. Finally, before bringing down the vehicle, you must double-check the bearings by gripping the tire's top and bottom.
