Mitsubishi MAP Sensor

By consistently sending precise data, the Mitsubishi MAP Sensor enables the engine computer to regulate fuel delivery, providing optimum power capabilities. Mitsubishi's MIVEC engine lineup is equipped across its whole range. Just like the powertrains, the Japanese automaker also embeds smart traction systems. They help keep grips stable in wet and dusty roads. Through cruise control, smartphone connectivity, and a cabin that's simple to operate, drivers enjoy these features while research into plug-in hybrids and advanced safety aids signals a commitment to cleaner running and wider-reaching peace of mind. All sorts of vehicles benefit from robust construction that can withstand daily wear yet is light enough to offer good mileage. Thus, the Mitsubishi is one that believes in efficiency while ensuring durability and simple maintenance. The MAP Sensor is on the intake manifold at all times. This sensor constantly reads absolute air pressure and transforms that into an electrical signal the ECU can use in milliseconds. This lets the fuel injectors link each gulp of air with the correct spray of gasoline. By monitoring the pressure changes caused by altitude changes, sudden throttle movements, or heavy loads, the MAP Sensor prevents stumble, rough idle, or wasted fuel. It gives the driver smooth throttle response in low-speed city traffic and up steep hills. The sensor is equipped with an ingenious sealing that contains warmth and vibration within. While it is relatively tiny, it forms a very effective and critical link between the engine's breathing and the engine's brain to deliver power effortlessly and efficiently year after year.

Pick genuine OEM MAP Sensor if you want superb performance and durability that lasts. Mitsubishi builds that using high-grade materials and official factory techniques to meet very strict standards. This means you get parts you can actually trust for your daily drive. Finding the right parts is simple in the massive stock of genuine inventory. You can stop guessing if a part will fit or hold up. You will love the low prices, dependable service and the real manufacturer's warranty on Mitsubishi MAP Sensor. Order today and the store will ship your brand-new items to your door as fast as possible.

Mitsubishi MAP Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: What is the most important information for measuring engine fuel requirements and How to test the MAP sensor on Mitsubishi Diamante?
    A:
The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connected to the engine intake manifold and taking readings of absolute pressure is the most useful information to measure engine fuel needs. The PCM computes the mass of the intake air using pressure and temperature data. Based on the atmospheric pressure, which is measured at the engine's start-up and during the fully-loaded driving conditions, the pressure sensor information is weighted by the PCM. Use a multi-meter to test the MAP Sensor by back probing the sensor connector. With the key ON and the engine OFF, check for at least 4.8 volts between SIG and 6ND connectors. When voltage is unsatisfactory, take power and ground circuit checks. With the key ON and the engine ON, measure the voltage between GND and SIG RTN terminals. This voltage should read approximately in the range of 0.8 to 2.4 volts. If not, then the sensor is faulty. Upon verification of an acceptable voltage check suddenly depress the accelerator and observe the voltage as it rises and holds at 2.4 volts. If no, replace MAP sensor. To remove a MAP sensor, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Next, disconnect the connector from the MAP sensor. After that, remove the screws holding the sensor in place before lifting it straight up. Finally, remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold. Installation is the reverse of removal.
