Mitsubishi Torsion Bar

The Mitsubishi Torsion Bar functions as a twisting spring that adds positive load at ride height and keeps wheels on the ground. Ever since 1870, Mitsubishi has developed from a maritime name tag into a global mobility name. Every car that Mitsubishi builds reflects a practical mix of toughness and tech. MIVEC engines balance power with thrift. Super All Wheel Control finds grip on muddy lanes. Smart infotainment links a phone in seconds. Such convenience instantly appeals to drivers across Indonesia. The manufacturer is also testing plug-in hybrids, fuel cell drives, and compact city EVs. This is a refreshing forward-looking spirit without overlooking the day-to-day ease. A Mitsubishi feels friendly but adventurous at the same time with its cruise control, simple dashboard, and robust body. This is why families and explorers alike trust it. In addition to these extensive talents, the brand relies on tested suspension ideas that help fulfill the promise of assured handling. The core part of this promise is the Torsion Bar, a steel rod that is straight in shape and fixed at the frame. Since it is keyed to the lower control arm, the result of the movement creates a twisting force. When the wheel hits a bump, the rod twists to absorb energy and then returns to its original shape. This ensures that the rod does not get out of alignment and keeps the body roll in check. A ride height adjustment bolt gives the user the ability to accurately set the ride height, and the compact low design saves weight versus bulky coils. Routine visual checks for cracks, chips, or tired mounts should allow the Torsion Bar to continue delivering smooth, level travel on paved streets or stony tracks.

Pick genuine OEM Torsion Bar if you want superb performance and durability that lasts. Mitsubishi builds that using high-grade materials and official factory techniques to meet very strict standards. This means you get parts you can actually trust for your daily drive. Finding the right parts is simple in the massive stock of genuine inventory. You can stop guessing if a part will fit or hold up. You will love the low prices, dependable service and the real manufacturer's warranty on Mitsubishi Torsion Bar. Mitsubishi Torsion Bar Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to properly reinstall a torsion bar and ensure it meets specifications on Mitsubishi Montero?
    A:
Before taking out the wheel and brake caliper, you will have to loosen the wheel lug nuts and lift the front of the car by jack. Take off the covers and mark the torsion bar opposite to the mark on the anchor arm using paint so that you don't damage the bar. Release the locknut and adjusting nut at the anchor arm assembly, allowing for the slipping out of the panel. When re-installing the torsion bar, grease will be applied to: the splines, the adjusting bolt threads and the inside of the dust boots. If both bars are out, determine which is the right and which is the left torsion bar by looking for an L or R stamped on the end of each bar. Insert the marked end of the bar into the anchor arm with the mating marks matched. Ensure that the rebound stop on the upper arm is resting against the frame. Check the distance from the bottom face of the adjusting bolt head to the bottom face of the nut both sides as specified. Then, assemble the torsion bar and the rear anchor arm. Screw the adjusting nut close until the distance between the bottom face of the adjusting nut and the top of the bolt is correct. Reinstall the hub, wheel, and brake caliper and lower the vehicle. Measure the distance from the bump stop to the bracket with the vehicle unloaded and compare the measured value to specification. If needed, tighten the adjusting nut on the anchor arm to meet the prescribed distance.
