To remove and install the throttle cable, first, press the throttle pedal halfway down inside the vehicle and take out the inner throttle cable on the pedal. Proceeding further, in the engine compartment, manually operate the throttle lever and disconnect the inner throttle cable from the throttle lever. The installed position shall be marked. The bolts that secure the outer throttle cable adjusting bracket to the plenum chamber shall be removed. The throttle cable shall then be pulled through the firewall into the engine compartment. To install, perform the removal steps in reverse order, but ensure that the throttle cable is passed from the engine bay through the firewall. Connect the inner cable to the throttle pedal and secure it with the retaining clip. Place the adjusting bracket on the plenum chamber and fit the adjusting bolts in the position noted during removal. Manually open the throttle lever and attach the inner throttle cable to it. Afterwards, check the adjustment of the throttle cable. To make the adjustment have your assistant slowly depress the throttle pedal while you observe the throttle lever at the
Throttle Body when the pedal is fully depressed, the throttle lever is fully open. If it isn't Right, loosen adjuster bolts on plenum chamber and slide bracket until correct adjustment is obtained. Set the throttle cable so the throttle opens fully only when the pedal is at the floor. You don't want to lose throttle. It will wear and break the cable too. In the end, tighten the adjusting bolts against the bracket and check the throttle cable adjustment, repeating if needed.
