How to remove and reinstall a steering wheel on Mitsubishi Montero?

In order to remove the steering wheel the first step is to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, use a small Philips screwdriver to pry off the horn button or centre pad, then unplug the horn switch connector. If fitted, remove horn plate and unscrew steering wheel nut. Prior to removal, use paint to mark the steering wheel hub and the column shaft for proper reassembly positioning. A puller may be used to remove the wheel and be careful not to hammer on the wheel or the shaft. To install, realign the steering wheel and the column shaft using the paint marks, then install and tighten the retaining nut to the specified torque. Install the horn plate and button or centre pad. Reconnect the negative side of the battery.
